Yourself? Your fans?
Check out the poll I have going on the side and please let me know. Comments explaining your thoughts would be awesome too. What can I say? I'm curious.

But first, a programming note. Posts will be a bit sporadic in the next few

I'll go first. I write for myself, but I'd be lying if my audience and the publishing industry in general didn't come into play. I write because I love it, but also because I want to be published, and not just as a one-hit wonder either.
I write for me, but I also write for my family. It seems so important to my children, especially my middle child. I love it, though, and I love being a part of this circle of writers.
Ditto Steph... You gotta see the video on my blog. You'll love it if you haven't seen it.
I'm all about me. :)
I write for myself because I need to. And I write for Hatshepsut which sounds weird, but I want the world to know her story!
I write the kinds of stories I want to read, so I guess you could say I write for me.
I write to be published.
Jen--I'll check it out as soon as I can. I'm up north & posting from my phone, but as soon as the laptop gets a wi-fi signal, I'm so there.
Steph T--that's not weird, it's actually really cool. Think of how many people you've already introduced Hatshesput to through your blog. Very cool.
Hear, hear Bane! Oh wait, I like what Matt said too. Well in that case, I write the type of stories I like in hopes of having them published! It's the best of both worlds really.
I'm really hoping that one day I can make my mother proud by showing her a fresh copy of a published novel of mine. I know she's proud of me and my siblings anyway, but I still want to do it in honor of her.
Oh and I just love writing.
Void--that's a noble goal. I think we all have that one person we want to make proud with our writing. For me it's my hubby. What about the rest of you?
Sadly, my soon to be wife doesn't care much about my writing life. She humors me when I talk about stuff, but sometimes I see that glazed over look in her eyes as I imagine her saying "Yeah, yeah, let's talk about something else please." :(
Void, that's a bummer. I don't love all of my hubby's hobbies (or infatuations in my case), but I fully suppport his goals and together we believe in each other's dreams whether it's being a career writer or bike-building CRNA.
