Where the rubber meets the road. I was thinking about this on my way to work this morning--perseverance.
Definition:
1. determined continuation with something: steady and continued action or belief, usually over a long period and especially despite difficulties or setbacks.
I'm a believer that anything worth having is worth working for. I don't mind putting the work in. I never have. I'm past the stage of worrying about my pride. Right now, I just want my novel to be the best it can be. Send it off to boot camp and kick its tail!It's go time. Are you ready?

I wonder if he omitted the "Self" part in the quote (the cynic in me couldn't resist ;) -- seriously, though, perseverance is definitely a key attribute in any endeavor.

Shannon--Sweet! Boot camp buddies. I would love to have or participate in a boot camp writing conference. Wouldn't that be fun?

Steph, I know you have been a query fiend. How has it been going? I recall someone had asked you for a rewrite awhile back... How did that go?
Why is it that the most simple of comments are the most profound? There's no avoiding this one, there is only one way to get published and that's writing something in the first place.
