As I readily edit Beauty Secrets for the umptenth time (minor edits, people. Characterization stuff. But if an agent has some suggestions, I'm all ears.) I realize that I'm not alone on this crazy quest for literary perfection. The editing process is cool when you can read the end results. As I've said before, the first draft is only the bones. It's the editing process that gives your work it's soul.
So, what about you?
How many times have you edited your current WIP?
Do you think this madness will ever end? :)

Yes, it WILL end. It just takes a lot longer to get there than we want it to! *sigh* :-)
P.S. I love the profile pic. It's gorgeous!
Love the new picture!
I don't think editing ever ends- even if the book ever gets published I'm sure I'll keep finding stuff I'd like to change. That's just the nature of the beast!
Hey girls, thanks for the compliments!
I agree with both of you. On one hand I think it will end, but that's only because I'll get sick of editing the story. There's always room for improvement as long as I'm willing to make it.
It ends when you find yourself an agent and then a publisher; and then you start all over again. It should end. One author I spoke to about this said even after her book was published she kept finding places where she could have written it better.
Ah, yes. The cycle of writing. It's a love/hate relationship for sure (more love than hate). But, I should add that it's all worth it in the end.
I love the profile pic. It's gorgeous!
