I got my New Moon tickets today! Yes, I know, it's not hitting theaters for another month, but the show sells out fast and I didn't want to be left out in the cold (seriously, I live in Michigan. It's freezing here already). Yay! I'm so flippin' excited even though the book lacks literal merit (all those adverbs!) and Rob Pattinson can't act (but he looks hot!) and Kristen Stewart is just so socially awkward (she really, really, is!) - I still will be there on midnight with my fellow Twi-hards wearing my New Moon gear and screaming with delight.
In other news, I've been busy editing these last few days. It's more like adding as opposed to editing seeing I'm taking an agent's advice and bringing more of the beauty selling aspect into Beauty Secrets. I'm also adding to my query letter, which I'm planning on posting here and over at the PQS soon. All of your feedback will be mucho appreciated.
Thanks and Happy Friday.

I'm jealous! I can't get tickets here yet. I agree that they aren't very well-written or acted... but somehow they are just amazing!
Have fun! I'll be right there with you... just a little farther south.

TLH - It's pretty cool, my theater is showing Twilight before New Moon, so I'm extra geeked!
You did mean Twitard, right, Steph? Teehee.
I josh, but I'll probably end up seeing it, too. I just have no desire to fight the teeny-boppers on opening day. I can wait - I'm a patient soul (sometimes).
I love it... :)
Laura - I love the energy of opening night. People clap and cheer just like if it was theater. Ah, it's the little things in life that get me excited.
...don't hate me for what I said on my blog video about 'Twilight' if u see it, but I think we agree on the merit of the book-so maybe if u watch that, u won't yell at me...I hope!
He IS a freakin HOTTIE!! AND I like Kristen...I'm not sure why...She was good in 'Into the Wild'!
And- I WAS in LOVE with Leo Dicaprio when he was in that horrible 'Titanic' movie, so I for sure understand! :)
Hey Penny, I'll go check it out. No, you won't offend me at all. I tried starting to read New Moon again last night and only made it 29 pages! Generally most people agree that it's a good story (capturing the whole first love passion thing) but the writing? eh...
That horrible TITANIC movie?!!
I take major offense... Cameron's masterpiece is WAY better than the TWILIGHT movie. Harumph. ;-P
I have to agree...as a movie Titanic was better. I was in middle school when it came out, and Leo was definitely my generation's Rob.
As for the writing in New Moon, I agree that all of those books were poorly written. I thought for a while that maybe Stephenie just wasn't that talented with words. But, since I've been reading her new book The Host, I've found out otherwise. It's very well-written. So I guess the language was just dumbed down for a young audience?
Regardless of its faults, the Twilight Saga still keeps me obsessed. It's just something I can't put my finger on... lol!
I'll be reading the first two books again starting in November. Gotta finish The Host before then!
I'm with you, Tara. Intellectually, I can see that Meyer's TWILIGHT series isn't well-written, but it still sucked me in. If only the first movie had been as enticing. Let's hope NEW MOON is an improvement. We'll see.
P.S. Steph - I know what you mean about the excitement of seeing a movie on opening night. Dan and I have seen our share of movies on the night they open... it just won't be the case with NEW MOON. In fact, after forcing him to see TWILIGHT in the theater (despite his major, later-confirmed reservations), I'll never get him to see the sequel. I might have to see it alone. Sniff, sniff.
Too bad you're not still in Northern MI Laura - I'd totally drive up and see it with you!
