An Award? How Awesome!

A big shout out and thank you to Laura Martone (Laura's Simple Pleasures & American Nomad) for honoring me with "You Don't Say? Super Comments Award"!!!

If I haven't said this before, Blogger's online community is amazing, awesome, spectacular, super, and above all - really, really fun! Not only do I love leaving comments, I love reading them. I love how people just "get it" and can relate to what I'm saying. Especially my fellow writers out there.

With that being said, I'd like to pass the award on (as that is the only requirement =) to five of my fellow bloggers. While these five individuals don't always comment on my blog, I love following their comments on some of my favorite blogs. These bloggers are intelligent, funny, inspiring, and just plain old nice folks. So, here they are:

Mira (Come in Character)
Rick Daley (My Daley Rant)
Debra Schubert (Write On Target)
Bane of Anubis (Bane's Blogging Blues)
Jennifer Bennett (Jennifer J. Bennett)

Thanks again for the award Laura!

P.S.
Anyone else having a problem with their links acting as rollovers? I have no idea what's going on!

Steph, You are far too kind! Thank you so much for this special award. And, what an honor to be in such wonderful company! I'll proudly post about it tomorrow. I love your blog, btw. Great job you're doing over here!!

Hey Steph - thanks for the kudos(here and at BBB). I love pandas! It's great being part of such a nurturing community as the writerly one over at NBs, and you never want to be a bad apple (unless you're a hungry troll, I guess)... so a double thanks for the nice comments and shout out. I'm having an internal Sally Field moment right now ;)

And nope, not having any rollover issues, but I didn't notice it in your links either. Of course, I might just be being thick.

Also, love everyone else on the list (and Laura, of course) -- each have personality, presence, recognizability... almost be fun to do a match the comment w/ the blogger game sometime. Hmmmm....

Steph, you are such a sweetie! I love your comments as well.

Thanks so much, I'm really touched by this.

I'm also really pleased to know that people don't see my posts and run out of the room screaming: God, no, not again, please don't let her be posting again. Arrggghhhh!!!

I wasn't sure, but I thought there was a good chance that was happening. So, this really feels good.

Thanks, Steph. Very kind of you. :)

Oh, and I should acknowledge I'm proud to be among such wonderful co-nominees.

Except Rick D. I'm considering making Rick D. my arch-nemesis. I need one, and he seems to me to be highly qualified. I'll let you know about that. Um, I'll let Rick know as well.

Hi, Steph! Just wanted to say... You're welcome! You're a lovely lady, and I obviously like following your blog as well as your comments over at Nathan's, so the award is well-deserved. And I love the bloggers you passed the honor along to... Although Mira, Rick, and JJ are already on my list, I'm happy to have found two new blogs, so thanks!

Oh, and Mira, I think Rick would make an ideal arch-nemesis! Good luck convincing him to comply...

Thanks Steph!

We run with a tight-knit pack. I know everyone you mentioned in this post through my blogs or Nate the Great's.

@Mira- I will gladly be your foil. Even if it means foil in the Flying-Spaghetti-Monster-Tin Foil Hat Wearing Sense. ;-)

Rick, I accept your acceptance! It feels like fate that we be worthy foes struggling to out-wit each other in the eternal battle of light and dark, grey and off-white.

Okay. Dibs on good. Unless you want good. Then I'll be evil. I'm not picky.

Laura Martone said...

Mira & Rick -

I think it's a toss-up as to who's more evil. I'm just sayin'.

Bane - It turns out my rollover issues are only on my laptop. It's one of those "It's me not you" thing.

And you're right, each person mentioned in my post does have personality, presence and recognizability. I'll have to thank Mr. Bransford for that.

Mira - I haven't run out of the room screaming yet. Your comments on Blogger are among the most wittiest I have ever read - a justly deserved award!

Arch-nemesis huh? Ooooh this ought to be good. Mira vs. Daley. Let the battle begin.

Stephanie,

Thank you so much for the honor. You truly made my day! Thanks for seeing my little blog out in the abyss of the masses. I am proud to call you friend, fellow writer, and blogger. Thanks again!

Your welcome Jen! I think you're doing a fantastic job over at your blog. Keeping the writing and the comments coming!

Mira said...

Steph, thank you. You absolutely made my day. Heck, my year. Thanks.

Laura - you have a good point. So, that will be what Rick and I battle over. Who is the most evil? My fair and impartial observation is that I'm going to win.

Just sayin'.

That could be true, Mira. You are pretty Evilific! But, then, Rick has that whole irreverent thing going for him!

Mira said...

Aw, Laura, you're so kind, calling me evilific! Just for that, I'm going to 'follow' your blog. I just realized, to my dismay, that I'm not yet!

Eeek. I go do that now.

Thanks, Mira! I just noticed that you're a follower... cool beans!
