Oh query letter, sweet query letter
why must you pain me so?
I send you out into the world with love
and yet rejection is all you bestow
Query letter, precious query letter
how my depression grows
Without you, I’m lost!
and my dreams just can not flow
Letter of hope, letter of love
we will triumph I know!
I will revise you once again
and celebrate with a glass of Bordeaux...
Who-ha!

That's hilarious. I hope it all works out soon, for you, the query letter and the Bordeaux.
Thanks Regina! I actually think my queries pretty good right now. It's the best one I've written so far. Let's see what the agents think.
LOL Too funny! Thanks for making me laugh. And don't worry. It'll come.

Amen. Lately, my rejections have been going into my spam folder, so the two times I've seen something in my spam folder this week, my heart has nearly stopped. They turned out to be an email from the husband and from a grocery store, but it made me realize that I've become terrified of responses--it's a pre-conditioned reaction to rejection.

Wendy - I've had the same instant terrified reaction lately. However I find that it makes me even more pleasantly surprised when it turns out to be a request! (Those are so awesome, aren't they?) Here's to hoping you hear good news soon!
Oh, Steph, I feel for you. Of the five queries and one full that I've sent into the world, all have been met with rejection, which hurts no matter how hard you try to ignore it. But we'll get where we hope to be... someday!
